15th National Voter's Day observed in Kamrup District
On 25th January, 2025, the 15th National Voter's Day celebrated at North Guwahati College ground in Kamrup district. The event was attended by the District Commissioner of Kamrup District, Shri Deba Kumar Mishra as the Chief Guest and National Award winning singer Tarali Sharma and prominent actress Jolly Laskar as the guests of honour.
Speaking at the function, the District Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra spoke on the need to exercise the right to vote for a healthy democratic system. He also explained the need for participation of every voter in the electoral process held as part of the democratic system and the responsibilities and duties of voters. The District Commissioner also urged the youth to participate in the democratic system and contribute towards nation building through election of proper people's representatives.
The 3 best booth level officers of 6 assembly constituencies along with few newly included electors were felicitated at the function. Distinguised guest Tarali Sarma and Jolly Laskar also spoke on the occasion.
